Description of Assignment/Role:

  • Experience in the development of ALC programs using ALC coding standards
  • Design, develop and maintain Mainframe ALC & JCL to meet support and/or project
    requirements
  • Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes
    meet technical specifications
  • Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business
    requirements into formal technical requirements and application code
  • Work with ALC developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA
  • In-depth experience in analyzing, documenting, and converting complex Assembler Language
    Code ALC modules to Java.
  • Able to support Java developers by providing explanation of ALC code functioning and logic
  • Document existing logic
  • Work in agile team to modernize existing systems
  • Documentation and maintenance of ALC to Java conversion process, and other ALC to Java-
    related support as required
  • Experience with full systems development life-cycle -SDLC engineering methodologies and with
    developing formal recommendations, design and implementation of enterprise architectures.
  • Experience working on a medium to large-scale government contract

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of ServiceNow App Development professional experience
  • 2+ years working with the Federal Government
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Masters Degree (preferred)
  • Federal Government Clearance (preferred)

 

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of a ServiceNow platform for our Client, the Federal Government. The role involves designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting and implementing baseline and custom applications to enhance the platform. A ServiceNow developer must also manage the platform to ensure stability and implement architectural changes when necessary.

 

TASKS:

  • Identify deficiencies and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with other administrators to develop solutions and changes
  • Use languages and third party controls such as .NET, C# and AJAX
  • Manage tool configuration to ensure reliable production
  • Customize applications to facilitate the use of new applications and customizations
  • Avoid disruptions by implementing new changes with the least disruption to operations
  • Provide expertise for all technical issues related to development
  • Understand the bigger picture by using large-scale thinking when working on projects
